From the get-go, Games Workshop, or more accurately the Warhammer Community team, stressed that the new edition would offer more flexible army building, and the new rules would allow for armies to be much more mobile, pushing away from having a static army castled up and shooting everything in sight with all the re-rolls in the world. The last point in the previous paragraph is important when we look at the new edition of the game.
